Since 2001 there are few Indonesian have meeting in Mr Hans Keijser resident at Carmel Rd Charlotte, NC. and has shown the relationship between the Indonesian grown stronger within and bonded as cultures are the same roots and our motto as always Bhineka Tunggal Ika ( Unity in Diversity ) and Gotong Royong ( work together )is our task. During Christmas of 2004 The Keijser family invited the Indonesian to celebrate the Christmas and the closing of the New Year, During this period some ideas and question came up why are we not creating an association where we can get more information generaly about job openings as well as sosial Recreation together. In the beginning of 2005 under the Leadership of Miss Linawaty have the formation of IAAOTC was then established. With overwhelming support of Miss Linawaty and others suggested that Mr Hans Keijser was suitable person for leading the Association, Since He is retired person without any obligation therefore He accepted the request.

During the month of February 2005 Mr Hans Keijser wrote the By Laws after carefully minor additions By Laws were established for ecceptance on Marh 19 to be Officialy by the Board of Directors were voted in as follows;
President : Hans Keijser.
Vice President : Phillip Budidharma.
Secretary : Rosa Effendi.
Treasurer : Paul Assali.
Public Relation : Robbynson Suy.
Tech Support : Hendi Nurwadi.

After a minor reshuffling of the Board due to the pivate work load oef some Board Members therefore the Board Directors became as follows ;
President : Hans Keijser.
Vice President : Hendi Nurwadi.
Secretary : Rosa Effendi.
Treasurer : Paul Assali.
Public Relation : Robbynson Suy.
Tech Support : Phillip Budidharma.

In June 2005 a Bank Account has been established by the treasurer Paul Assali. In addition Paul Assali prepared the submittal for Non Profit Organization by the State of North Carolina and Tax Exempt from IRS ,Due to Paul career transfer to Virginia and the resignation of Rosa Effendi as well as the resignation of Phillip Budidharma due to work reasons ,therefore the Association remains determined with the remaining three Board Members.

It was not easy for the remaining Board Members to comply with the goals of the IAAOTC. In particular to recruit members. We have an idea only so many Indonesian living in Carolinas ( Charlotte ) This was a slow prosses and require our full attention and lots efforts and time. In June 2005 Asian American Chamber of Commerce accepted us as one of their members. Our first contribution to the Asian American Chamber of Commerce was a Balinese Dance show in a collective Asian festival held in the Wachovia headquarter building in Downtown of Charlotte on June 5,2005 All these are to update the Asian American Library of Mr Ki-Hyun Chun who is the co-founder of AACC. On June 6the IAAOTC joined the Asian Countries in the annual Asian Chamber of Commerce festival with support and assistance of the Indonesian Cosul General of New York Mr Drs Harbangan Napitupulu, An appreciation letter was sen to the Indonesian Consul General on June 6,2005 for their support and contribution.

On August 13. 2005 we have our BBQ- get together at the ParkRd Park, The first 20 people attended this BBQ get-together wich aws successful. When Hurricane Katrina hit the Southern State in particular the State of Louisiana the IAAOTC call for an immediate relief meeting on September 9,2005. Despite the small members amount the IAAOTC has contributed of & 1000.00 ( one thousand us dollars ) On December 5.2005 the IAAOTC contributed 5 books, describing the Indonesian culture,art and trade to the Library of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce attention of Mr Ki-hyun Chun Phd ( co founder of the AACC ) In order to maintain the realibilty of the Association,despite inadequate funds of the IAAOTC with the great financial assistance of the Indonesian Consul General of New York (Mr Drs Harbangan Napitupulu )took part in tha annual Dragon Boat ferstival on May 6,2006. This successful result was accomplihed by our Public Realtion Director Mr Robbynson H.Suy who created a good relation with yhe Indonesian Consul General in New York.On May 7,2006 the IAAOTC sent an appreciation letter to the Indonesian Consul General for his assistance .As a result of the successful partnership in the Dragon Boat festival the Indonesian Consul General ( Mr Drs Harbangan Napitupulu and Information Consul and Vice Consul Gemeral )vissited IAAOTC in Charlotte and Asian American Chamber of Commerce group in order to establish trade possibilities.During the remaining part of 2006 no further activities were developed with exception of recruiting new members.

By December 23,2006 a meeting was held at Mr Michael, and Mrs Erna Mardiana NEW residence in order to vote for the new Board of Directors for the following of two year term. As resignation President Mr Hand Keijser and Ms Linawaty were assigned as Counselors for the new Board of Directors was elected by the 40 members attendees as follows;
President : Mr Robbynson H.SUY.
Vice President : Mr Stephen Vaughan.
Treasurer : Mr Hendi Nurwadi.
Secretary : Mrs Erna Mardiana.
Public Relation Dir : Mrs Vera Hough.
Tech Support Dir : Mr Nils Schweim.

We then put more emphases in recruiting members, collecting initiation fees and member dues to improve IAAOTC bank account and the distribution of required Member cards. At pressent Board Directors establishment with the programs intact as we have 72of family members registered ( 165 peoples all together)As we entering to a new E informations therefore we established the Web site for the organization as www.iaaotc.org designed by our Web Master Mr Cahyono Nugroho and need more&more improvement as we move on. IAAOTC also apply for Tax Exempt from IRS and still awaiting for result in order to continuation of our programs as NON PROFIT ORG in Social Welfare to help others who is in really need as we have done for Tsunami ,Katrina and others. AS IAAOTC has fasilitated the communications between Indonesian Ambssador to United States MrSujadnan Parnohadiningrat and Consul General Republic of Indonesia in New York MRS Dra Tri Eddy Mulyanie and Mayor of Charlotte, Local government, State officials,Universities,Asian Chambers, World Affairs of Charlotte on June 5 to June 9,2007. Introduction of Indonesia Republic by Mr Sujadnan Parnohadiningrat and Mrs Dra Trie Eddy Mulyani that Indonesia shall and could be strengthen the connection East and the west in globalization political , Economical, and to promote the cultures of Peaceful World.
